A Leave of Absence provides an opportunity for graduate students to take a time off for a semester or year without losing your place in the MSE program.
We strongly encourage you to follow leave of absence procedures, even if return to the MSE program is uncertain.
Make sure to discuss your plans with the program staff and your advisor/PI. They can help support you through the process.
